I don't generally observe a distinction between 'art' and 'design' creative practice, as these often bleed into each other. However  there is a useful distinction to be made between what I call works of authorship (non-commercial personal projects) and works of commission (where there is a client).

The project areas featured here are all for works of authorship – (created without a commercial motivation or as discarded conceptual stages), and are categorised roughly by artistic medium.
